CLINISYNC SERVICE SUITES
The Ohio Health Information Partnership is proud to offer two suites of HIE services:
- CliniSync Direct Suite is an application that is installed on a local PC in your office and connects with the CliniSync network free of charge.
- CliniSync Community Health Record Suite will be available in early 2013 for a monthly fee and will bring the CliniSync network into your existing EHR.
Each suite of CliniSync HIE services is detailed below.
WHY ARE THE SERVICES FREE OR LOW COST?
These services are free because The Ohio Health Information Partnership received grant funding from the Office of the National Coordinator of HIT under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (grant numbers 90RC0012 and 90HT0024) to ensure that healthcare professionals can exchange electronic health information. The Direct Suite of services is paid for by the grant funding. The suite includes: Referrals, Direct Email and Results Delivery. The Community Health Record Suite, which will be available in the future, is a more advanced technology that will allow you to search for a patient and retrieve records from other providers.

The Direct Suite helps streamline your staff’s workflow, allowing them to spend more time on patient care and giving you an effective way to communicate with other professionals to coordinate care for your patients. This suite includes a Referrals Management tool and Direct secure email messaging as well as various ways to get results delivered to you — the CliniSync team can set up a meeting with your staff to discuss these options.

Depending on the needs of your practice, you may want results delivered to your inbox or as a PDF that goes to a specified file location. Or perhaps you would like delivery of discrete results integrated into your EHR* system. The choice is up to you.
*We do not charge for our side of the interface connection but your vendor may. We are, however, working with several EHR vendors to develop models that include fixed pricing, specific functionality, and consistent time to complete an implementation. Please contact us for further information so we can discuss the model for your vendor. If your vendor does not have an established model with us, we will contact them to begin these discussions.
CLINISYNC COMMUNITY HEALTH RECORD SUITE
THE CLINISYNC COMMUNITY HEALTH RECORD SUITE WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY 2013.
Whether you have an EHR or are paper-based, the CliniSync Community Health Record Suite is a valuable tool for care coordination, allowing you to easily gather necessary information on a newly-referred patient by accessing their longitudinal patient record.
For your current patients, you can get records from another doctor or patient-care organization to coordinate care.
Maybe you’re away from the office and contacted for a consult – simply log into the secure web portal from any secure device (laptop, iPad, PC, etc.) to review the patient’s test results or other critical clinical data.
