What is The CliniSync Connection Program?

The Ohio Health Information Partnership is working with the ambulatory EHR vendor community to develop interfaces that will deliver clinical data in an electronic format directly to a practice’s EHR. The clinical data delivered to your practice will come from hospitals who are participating in CliniSync. See the chart below for a list of vendors that are currently participating.   

CliniSync’s platform receives clinical data from hospitals and then uses identifiers in the data, such as patient and practitioner names to deliver it over an encrypted connection to the correct practice’s EHR. The vendors listed below have successfully implemented an interface in a pilot practice in Ohio, and CliniSync is working with many additional vendors who will soon be added to this list. CliniSync will work with any vendor if they can meet the security and technology requirements to participate.

CliniSync provides the practitioner with the opportunity to purchase one connection and receive clinical data form multiple sources from it. The practitioner will have the option to receive results from any hospital or lab who is participating in CliniSync.  This is a significant change from the past when a practice was required to build and maintain multiple interfaces to receive information from different hospitals and labs.

 How do I get connected?

Register with CliniSync and we will get everything rolling. Your CliniSync Liaison will walk you, your Office Manager or other designee through the entire process. You can expect to sign a contract, get a brief introductory call for project planning and scheduling, collaborate on a coordinated project implementation with your practice, and receive follow up calls/visits as needed for ongoing support from CliniSync.
