Medicare/Medicaid EHR Financial Incentive Program

As of 5/20/13, 14,793 providers have received $574 million in Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments. Medicare paid 9,470 providers $362 million while Medicaid paid 5,323 providers $212 million. This includes both hospitals and eligible professionals and encompasses The Partnership and HealthBridge’s total numbers.

Physicians Signed Up for Regional Extension Services

Ohio met its federal goal of signing up 6,000 priority primary care physicians to adopt electronic health records in January 2012, the highest of any Regional Extension Center in the nation. These physicians receive free services to adopt EHRs and reach Meaningful Use requirements. While 512 additional physicians signed up, they are not grant-funded because they are in practices of more than 10 physicians.
